"My work pays homage to the city in which I grew up. The city that continues to fascinate, stimulate, and compel me to paint everyday. I set down my easel before images that speak to me, where the elements of composition, perspective, and light uniquely combine to create a striking scene. Without further judgment, I engage in capturing the beauty, which lies before me.I make few or no studies before hand, allowing the moment of creation to belong to the time in which I commit to rendering the scene.

Selecting a site to paint in New York City is an ongoing challenge amidst the constant crowds, noisy traffic, and countless other distractions that accompany painting in the streets. Yet, the paintings in which I capture these scenes convey a quiet serenity, which often compels passers-by to comment, ironically,   "Iıd rather be there!"

Perhaps itıs because my work even while it features manmade subjects, such as old buildings, fire hydrants, or signposts typically incorporates comforting organic elements, such as tall trees, green ivy, blue sky and even pedestrians. It is these natural elements that truly bring the scene to life".....
