Svetlana Kourmaz was born in Krasnodar in 1962. Graduated in 1985 from the Faculty of Art Graphics of the Kuban State University, where she then teached drawing and easel graphics from 1985 to 1992. Member of the Artists Union since 1991, member of the International Art Foundation and International Artist's Federation.

Svetlana's pictures are in the collections of the Kovalenko Art Museum in Krasnodar, the Exhibition Hall for Modern Art in Krasnodar, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation,  the Modern Art Museum of the M'ARS Gallery and also in private collections in Russia, Germany, Italy, USA, Switzerland, Israel, Canada, France.....
