Jerry von Lind was born 1937, in Duluth, Minnesota. His father was born the son of Baron Johann von Lind in a small town outside Stockholm, Sweden. His mother Alma was from southern Wisconsin. After several yeras in the military he embarked on a career in the commercial art fields from advertising art, editorial art, calendar art and portrait art. In doing work for several calendar compagnies including Shedd-Brown and Brown and Bigelow he came in contact with some of the legendary pinup artists of the time. Such greats as Gillette Elvgren, Frtiz Willis, Bill Medcalf and other notable glamour and pinup artist that graced the calendars of the 60's and 70's. Inspired by these greats he pursued a style reminiscent of these immortal artists and continues to this day in his studio in southern California.
