Born 1969, Posada graduated high school in West Seattle in 1987. He became a professional freelance artist and picture framer, gaining experience in galleries for 7 years. His work is influenced  by Hajime Sorayama. In 1994 he was hired as illustrator at Image Comics, San Diego. He started showing submissions to the Tamara Bane Gallery in 1996.
