Born and raised in New York City, Ken Martin attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan where he studied Commercial Design and Fine Art. In 1988, he began to experiment with the airbrush, and from that time has used it as his primary painting tool. Gaining inspiration from the works of Olivia DeBerardinis, Patrick Nagel and Vargas, Ken developed a passion for the "pin-up" style of erotic art. In 1994, he commenced working on the "Airotica" series, which uses geometric forms and texture to accent his female subjects.
