De Berardinis was born in California in 1948. After attending the New York School of Visual Arts in the mid-1960's, Olivia briefly explored the minimalism movement but was quickly drawn back to the realistic figurative work that had long since become her passion. She redefined the classic pin-up and in doing so created an image that women as well as men can relate to. Her paintings evoke a sensual energy that quite simply seduce the viewer.
