Joyce Ballantyne

Born 1918, in Norfolk, Nebraska, she attended the Nebraska University, followed by a study of commercial art at the Academy of Art in Chicago. She met Elvgren when he was teaching there, and she was a student. After years of working closely together they often shared assignments. She did much advertising work for clients, such as Coca-Cola, painted pin-ups for calendar companies. Her illustrations for Esquire and Penthouse are very well known.
