Ribas went to Buenos Aires 1n 1911. He worked as a decorator and started to contribute drawings to newspapers. The following year he travelled to Paris, where he did work for the Mundial, run by Rúben Darío. His exquisite illustrations were very popular, whether in Buenos Aires, Paris or Madrid.
