Raphael Kirchner  1876 - 1917

 





Kirchner was born in Vienna, Austria. There he attended the Acadmie of Arts. At the turn of the century he settled in Paris and stayed in France until the beginning of World War I, when he moved to the United States. He created the 'Kirchner woman' and produced a wide variety of postcards. His work was very influential in art nouveau circles.
